Device verification is a type of two-factor authentication, commonly used across digital applications. It adds an extra level of security by asking customers to verify their credentials in two different ways in order to log into their LazyPay accounts. One of these ways is by asking you to verify or secure your device. This allows us to perform 'device binding', which simply means we verify that the number you're using to log in to LazyPay app is the same one present on your device. This is done by sending an SMS from your device to our systems.

It's simple. During login to the LazyPay app or while transacting with LazyPay, you'll be prompted to secure your device. Continue forward on the app, and make sure you have good mobile network connectivity and enough SMS balance. Then, we'll either send an SMS from your device in the background, or launch your SMS application with a pre-filled message (one where you simply hit Send). Once sent, your verification should be completed within 45 seconds at most. That's it! During this process, also make sure you've provided the necessary app permissions like SMS and Phone state permission.

No, it is not mandatory to verify your device, as you can login to LazyPay using just an OTP. However, it is strongly recommended that you verify your device for an added layer of security, and to protect yourself against fraudulent activity. In some cases, you may also not be able to complete high value transactions on LazyPay if your device isn't verified.

If you've lost your verified device (for example, mobile phone) but still have the SIM linked to your registered LazyPay number, you can redo verification on your new device. If you lose both your verified device and SIM card, please contact our Customer Care team immediately for assistance. Yes, you can reach out to our Customer Care team and they will offer support in disabling verification on your device. However, we strongly advise against doing so unless absolutely necessary, as it takes a toll on the security of your account.

There is no additional cost charged by LazyPay for verifying your device. It's a complimentary security feature designed to protect your account and financial information. However, if SMS is sent during the verification process, your network provider may incur charges, in applicable.

Having mobile network connectivity is mandatory to verify your device, since we do this by sending SMS, so please try again once you have better reception or are within India.
